The Camaro was redesigned again in 74'.  The bumper was redesigned again, with a body colored fascia above the front bumper and a thick aluminum front and rear bumper. The grille was now shovel-shaped and the rear tail-lights wrapped into the fenders. They also added rubber impact strips on the bumpers. The Z-28 was discontinued at the end of the model year. Another interesting note for the 74' Camaro was the seatbelt interlock system required by federal law. The system wouldn’t permit the car to start unless all front-seat passengers were buckled in. The law was soon rescinded and 1974 was the only year to feature these seat belts!  The 1974 Z/28 included the standard performance upgrades including a bright engine accent package, a heavy duty radiator, dual exhausts, a black grille, a sports suspension with heavy duty shocks, 15x7 wheels with white letter tires, and a rear deck spoiler. All these performance items added $572 to the price of the Sport Coupe and $502 to the price of the LT. Optional items for the 1974 Camaro Z/28 included a rear deck spoiler and a unique striping package that included a bold four color “Z/28” graphics on the hood and the rear deck.

This is a great 74 Z-28 in incredible shape.  It has 350 engine and 4spd transmission.  No rust on this car.  The interior is done and looks great.  The odometer says 39K, the way this car is it sure looks like a very low mileage car, but I cannot guarantee anything.  I bought this car 2 years ago and got the interior done.  Since then it stayed in my indoor storage and got driven on very few occasions.  I had no problem driving and enjoying this car.  I really cannot say anything as a problem about this car. If I have to say anything, that would be that it can use a new Z-28 decal in the near future, but I am being very picky when I say that. When I previously adverttised the carI received an e-mail from a previous owner saying that this was really a great car and he really enjoyed it when he had it.  I do not know the full history of owners.  The person who sold me the car indicated that he was a GM mechanic and he kept the car in great condition and the only reason he was selling was because he wanted a project car for himself as this car in his opinion did not need anything. I paid quite a bit more for the car when I bought it, my buy-it now is less than what I paid and my reserve is slightly below buy-it-now amount.

Here are some other things to note about bidding:  Please make sure you have your money in hand before bidding. I will not call you or tell you my reserve or what I will take for the car, that is why I am adding a buy-it now amount here.  On the other hand if you are serious and you have an offer to make please by all means e-mail me and I will tell you if that will do it.  Previously I had some offers and actually people came pretty close.  Again, I must emphasize that this is an extremely clean car.  It is very nice and clean and it is almost impossible to find an original car in this condition especially a Z-28.  If you have questions, please e-mail and I will certainly respond.  Some of the questions I received previously requested the following information:  The engine is original to the car as far as I know and it does not appear to be modified.  The underside of the car is very clean.  The underside of the doors are perfect without any rust. It starts and drives fine.  I am not aware of any body work being done to this car.  There is no rust on this car and body is straight and very clean, so is the interior.  I start all my cars in storage once a week.  I am not a dealer just a car collector, only selling some of my cars to create some room in my storage.  As you can see, I have 3 Z-28s for sale and they are all in great condition.

This is certainly a numbers matching correct Z-28:  Here is the information and how to decode:
