I just had the following mechanical items done: New valve cover gaskets, new oil pan gasket, new oil sending unit gasket, new distributor cap, new choke, new water pump, coolant system flushed, all fluids changed, new pins in drivers side door to keep from sagging, timing adjusted, speedometer gear replaced. Of course I have the receipt for the work performed as well.
The car runs and drives great with no issues. All gauges work except clock. The tach gauge does run a little high so that will need to be calibrated. You can get in this car and drive it anywhere, in fact when I purchased it I had to drive over 300 miles to get it home and I haven't driven 100 miles since because it has been in the "tear down mode as you see by the pictures."
As you see from the pictures, I have all of the interior out of the car, EVERYTHING is ready to go back in with all BRAND NEW items. This is what you will have: Most of these have already been dyed, the driver's seat plastics and the plastics on the drivers door have not been dyed yet but I do have the dye and clear coat that will go with the car as well so the new buyer will be able to dye themselves.
NEW: Sail panels, rear arm rests, headliner, all t top moldings, carpet, rear deck with jute padding, front dash cap, new seat foam for front seats, seat covers "rear seat has already been recovered, fronts are left to do but I have the covers for buyer," also new door panels. The console is not new but is in great shape as is. I also have new weatherstripping for the whole car, the t top weatherstripping was put in but leaks some so buyer will need to reset, hood, trunk, door weatherstripping are still new in their bags along with the door felt strips. Also have new sound deadener to put under carpet as well.
Now for the project, when the carpet was pulled there were 3 small holes in the floor pans, these were repaired using POR15 and the floor pans were then sealed with a undercoat to prevent damage in the future, they did a good job with them. The car needs painting as you can see. The front nose reinforcement is broken and made the nose sag, "currently I do not have bolts on the side sagging as I was in the process of taking off and putting new back on" I have another reinforcement to go back on along with another brand new nose. The current nose may not even need replacing as it is not in bad shape but I bought another one just in case. I would also install a new lower passenger fender extension "I do not have one" as the one on it now is not in great shape. Car was probably hit in this area at some point but I do not know for sure, only speculation with the reinforcement being broken and the fender extension not being in great shape.
I found two rust spots on the car, one is on the very tip of the hood and the other is in between the front and passenger side window, these are minor. The rest of the body on this car is solid, no bondo work.
So basically, the buyer will be purchasing a great project that is almost complete. One weekends time will be able to get the interior back in, and a trip to the body shop to get it painted and you will be sporting a great second generation Camaro Z28 with the 4 speed and T tops.
I am sure I am leaving information out, please feel free to email any questions. I reserve the right to end the auction early. $500 deposit is required at end of auction with the remainder being paid in certified check or cash. There is no warranty offered and you are buying the car as is with all parts listed. I will assist if you want the car shipped but it will be at your expense. If you would like to come and see the car, we can arrange that as well. Good luck!
Also, the motor is a 305 as this is the only engine you could get with a 4 speed in 1981 unless you bought from Canada. I have no idea if numbers match or not, I assume they do but I have never had this checked out to verify.

To answer a couple of questions that have come in? Yes the air induction flaps on the hood work. Yes all tail lights work including reverse. I apologize for leaving this information off the original listing.
